I'm very pleased with the way it came out as well. Chimoto's belt and the detils on Kimiko's outfit are especially nice.

I'll give you a bit of background about the characters here.
Kimiko (on the right) is from a manga I'm trying to get published named Secret Agent Fangirl. By day she's a federal agent out saving the world. She spends her free time doing things like reading and writing fan fiction, going to anime conventions, watching anime, etc. She is a rabid cosplayer, and here she's in the outfit of Kan'u Uncho from Koihime Musou. (For more pictures of her, click on my avatar and then go favorites -> characters I have created.)

Chimoto (on the left) is a character from Kimiko's favorite fandom, the Battle Boyz. This storyline consists of five bishonen men who are out running missions of mercy. Their personalities were based on a survey of what kinds of men fangirls like the most. Chimoto, said to be the most bishonen of the bunch, is the brooding hunk type. His appearance is loosely based on Iggy Pop.

BTW, it's interesting that Shooting Star was in your mind. In Secret Agent Fangirl, there's another character that is extremely kawaii, (she's 10 years old) but her personality is very bitter and cynical. Kimiko runs into her a lot at anime conventions, where she's dressed like Komugi.
